1. How challenging was this project for you? Be specific. Overall, this project was a bit difficult at times. While reading the book, it was hard to follow what was going on throughout the main character's life. I didn't seem to understand too much of how the author portrayed the world. So I read some parts over again which helped me realize more as to what was going on. After doing this, the overall experience of this project became easier.
2. What was the easiest part of this project? The easiest part of this project for me was the Banned Book Video. I planned out what I was going to do pretty quickly and overall rehearsed and filmed the video quickly. This was the assignment that throughout the project that was the easiest for me.
3. How comfortable did you feel while making your film? I felt very comfortable when filming my video because I had rehearsed what I going to say pretty throughly. I also wanted to say a lot of the book so it was good to be able to say all of that in my video.
4. Did you receive critique and feedback from anyone (teacher, parent, classmate, etc)? If so, who? Was the feedback helpful? (This could be for any part of the project, journal, or video) I received feedback from Michael on my first reading journal. He told me that he really liked the reading journal in his response and gave me a few things to wonder about such as connecting the response more to the main character and the world around them.
5. Did you provide kind, specific, and helpful feedback in the journal workshops? Were these sessions helpful and/or fun? I actually critiqued Michael's first reading journal. I gave critique such as making the journal more personable to yourself and connecting yourself to the character. Overall, I thought these sessions were a great way to find our strengths and areas for improvement while writing different types of journals.
6. Did you actually read the book you chose? I did read every page in Fahrenheit 451. I read the whole book from start to finish.
7. What grade do you think you deserve? Why? The grade I think I deserve is an A+. I believe I deserve this grade because I did everything required in the project along with being very thoughtful throughout the entire project. I helped others, asked for help from others, and overall helped myself. Every one of my reading journals was written in a creative way and my I worked really hard to make my video the best it could be. I also did contribute to the potluck by bringing hot chips which some people seemed to like. This is why I think I deserve an A+ for this project.
8. If you could change something about this project, what would it be? Personally, I wouldn't change anything about this project. I liked the format of soft due dates for the different journals and the long period of time we had to finish everything. I really liked the project and it's content because it was interesting to read a book that was banned somewhere in the world. This is why I wouldn't change anything.
